Chicken Koila (Coal) Karahi- A Recipe Cooked on Burning Coals with Smoky Taste

Required Ingredients:

Obviously; you will need following ingredients in mentioned ratio or quantity to cook this amazing and best chicken karahi comfortably.

i) Chicken 1 Kg

ii) Cooking Oil 1.5 cup

iii) Salt 1/2 Tsp

iv) Coal (Koyla) 2 Kg

v) Medium sized Tomatoes 6 (Half sliced or chopped)

vi) Fresh water 1 cup

vii) Ginger-Garlic water or paste 2 TBS

viii) Red chili flakes 1 TBS

ix) Green chili half sliced 5-6

x) Dry coriander powder 1 Tsp

xi) Mixed spices (Garam Masala) 1 Tsp

xii) Black pepper powder 1/2 TBS

xiii) Thick yogurt 100 gm (Optional)

xiv) Julian cutting Ginger 1 TBS (Garnish)

xv) Fresh green Coriander leaves 1 TBS (Garnish)

Directions to Cook Karahi:

Now, it is right time to begin cooking "Chicken Koyla Karahi" with a mouthwatering taste and genuine coal flavor.

1-Burn the coals and put a cooking pan or metallic karahi on the fire

2-Add cooking oil and let it warm completely

3-Add chicken pieces and start frying it for 5-6 minutes regularly

4-After frying chicken, remove extra oil and add salt, ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes

5-Now, keep frying the chicken for 3 minutes and add 1 cup of water and place a lid for 10 minutes

6-Remove the lid and keep removing skin of tomatoes and mash them well

7-Now, add red chili flakes and dry coriander powder in the recipe and cook it gently

8-Add green chili and yogurt if you want extra gravy; otherwise you can skip yogurt

9-Cook it for 4 minutes and add mixed spices and black pepper

10-Mix these spices well and cook for 2 minutes

11-Your chicken karahi is ready and now dish out it and sprinkle Julian cutting ginger and fresh green coriander leaves for garnishing
