Chicken Koila (Coal) Karahi-A Recipe with Coal (Smoky) Taste

Ingredients Required:

i) Chicken with bones 1 Kg

ii) Cooking oil 1 cup

iii) Ginger-Garlic paste 2 TBS

iv) Tomatoes sliced 1/2 Kg

v) Red chili powder 1 Tsp

vi) Red chili flakes 1 Tsp

vii) Turmeric powder 1/4 Tsp

viii) Salt 1 Tsp or as per taste

ix) Julian cut Ginger 2 TBS

x) Green chili 5-6 sliced in two pieces

xi) Coriander powder 1/2 Tsp

xii) Cumin seed powder 1/2 Tsp

xiii) Black pepper powder 1/2 Tsp

xiv) Small sized Coal for smoky flavor

xv) Fresh green coriander 1 TBS

Cooking Directions:

It is very simple recipe ever to be cooked comfortably at home. You must focus on given instructions and steps to prepare it in a short time frame.

1-Wash and dry chicken pieces and take a cooking pan with enough space

2-Place this cooking pan on flame and keep it medium

3-Add cooking oil and let it warm well

4-Now, add ginger-garlic paste and fry it for 3-4 minutes

5-Add dried chicken pieces and fry it for 5 minutes and change its color

6-Add chopped tomatoes and fry it again for a couple of minutes

7-Now, cover the pan with a lid for 8-10 minutes; so that tomatoes gets soft

9-Add turmeric powder, red chili flakes, red chili powder, salt and sliced green chili

11-Now, add black pepper powder and mix it very well

12-Burn a small coal, put it in a smaller pot and place in the chicken karahi and cover with a lid for 3-4 minutes

13-Turn off flame, sprinkle Julian cut ginger, green chili and green fresh coriander for garnishing Chicken Koila Karahi
